Shanta Fuentes also known as Shanyote is a New York City–born recording artist, songwriter, and storyteller entering a new era defined by artistic evolution, cinematic storytelling, and fearless self-expression. Shanyote creates music that exists beyond sound—it becomes an experience. Through emotionally driven songwriting, immersive visuals, and a deeply personal artistic vision, she explores themes of transformation, resilience, healing, identity, and the beauty found within becoming. Every chapter of Shanyote’s artistry is designed as a world of its own. Each song, visual, and era reveals another layer of a larger story—one centered on healing, growth, self-discovery, and the courage to embrace change.

The Solace Arc

At the center of Shanyote’s current creative evolution is the Solace arc—a cinematic world rooted in introspection, healing, and self-discovery. Defined by her signature platinum blonde hair aesthetic, rich cocoa-tone and atmospheric storytelling, the Solace era also represents a journey inward: learning to find peace within moments of uncertainty, rebuilding after hardship, and discovering strength through vulnerability. A defining element of the Solace arc is the presence of the Shanyote Wolves—a recurring visual and symbolic force within her artistic identity. The wolves represent instinct, protection, survival, and transformation. They move through the Solace world reflecting the duality of solitude and strength. In this era, the wolves are not just imagery—they are extensions of the self. Quiet but powerful: intuition in moments of doubt, resilience in moments of breaking.

Blending elements of Pop, R&B, EDM, and Alternative Rock, her sound is shaped by contrast—softness and intensity, vulnerability and power, stillness and movement, light and shadow.

Her soulful vocal delivery carries emotional depth, while her production creates expansive, cinematic landscapes that allow each story to unfold. Over the past three years, she has continued developing her sound alongside emerging powerhouse music producers; Lexnour and Omito Beats, whose innovative production styles have become an integral part of the foundation of her current musical direction. 

Origins

 Shanyote’s relationship with music began in New York City at a young age. Growing up surrounded by creativity and artistic influence, she discovered her passion for singing at just six years old. Inspired by legendary artists including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Pat Benatar, P!nk, Aaliyah, Alicia Keys, and Björk, Shanyote developed an eclectic artistic identity rooted in emotional honesty, individuality, and fearless expression. For her, music and storytelling have always been inseparable. Performance became a way to communicate emotions that words alone could not express. In 2017, a profound spiritual transformation marked the beginning of a new chapter in both her life and artistry. Her debut release, “In A New Way,” introduced her to the Christian/Inspirational music space and her audiences to a more reflective and faith-inspired side of her songwriting. This also opened the door to her independent music career journey. During the global pause of 2020, Shanyote fully embraced independence, founding her own label, Santofinity Music, and continuing to build a body of work.

The Current Chapter

 Shanta Fuentes has a plethora of song releases. Her most popular are hits like “All In,” “Yellow,” “Field of Dreams” to “Wishful Thinking,” “Solace,” and “Long Overdue”. These releases have captured different emotional chapters of Shanyote’s evolution. Each release reflects a moment of transformation—stories of love, hope, perseverance, reflection, and the ongoing process of becoming. Now, Shanyote enters her most intentional creative chapter yet with her upcoming album, “Blue Ashes, Honey Golden” arriving November 2026. The project represents transformation through contrast: the ashes of what has been released and the golden beauty of what has been rebuilt. Shanyote continues to create music that reminds listeners that even after the fire, something beautiful can rise.
